Operation Win at the Door: How YAL Is Mobilizing the Next Generation to Make Liberty Win

This year, 854 students and activists have already applied to fight for liberty through Young Americans for Liberty’s Operation Win at the Door (OWD) — a program built to turn activist energy into wins for liberty candidates and liberty legislation.

Since launching in 2018, OWD has mobilized activists across the country to do the work that actually makes a difference in winning elections and crucial legislative battles: knocking doors and talking to voters.

Participants are sent to key districts, sometimes as Election Coordinators, gaining hands-on experience while helping elect principled, pro-liberty legislators. They’re trained in the field and play a real role in winning competitive battles.

From Recruiting to Winning

OWD is part of YAL’s broader strategy to build a lasting liberty movement.

Through Liberty Candidate Academies (LCAs), YAL identifies and trains principled candidates. Then, YAL trained activists help elect them through OWD. Once in office, those legislators work with YAL to pass pro-liberty policy, and the cycle continues.

A Real Opportunity to Make an Impact

This is demanding work — long days, constant voter interaction, and time away from home.

But for those willing to step up, it’s a chance to make a real difference.

Right now, Election Coordinator positions can earn up to $4,160/month, with housing and fuel covered, while gaining firsthand experience in how campaigns are built.

Operation Win at the Door is where citizens step up to make liberty win.

And with hundreds already stepping forward, this year’s fight is already underway.

Together, we're BUILDING a youth movement, ELECTING liberty legislators,
and PASSING liberty legislation
