Jordan Page Rocks Ohio State!

Even though it was a more intimate setting than the crowd of over 10,000, Jordan Page played to the night before at the Cincinnati Tea Party, he still managed to rock with a high energy show. Despite some bad weather, a very enthusiastic crowd enjoyed an over 2 HOUR set from Page. It was his first official stop on his Liberty Tour. The event was hosted by the Ohio State University chapter of YAL. Check out Jordan's Page to see if he's making a stop near you -- it's a show you definitely don't want to miss!

YAL Takes on Healthcare Nullification

On Monday, the Ohio Liberty Council (which includes YAL at Ohio State and YAL at the University at Cincinnati) initiated the process for a healthcare nullification ballot initiative in Ohio.

On Wednesday night, YAL at Ohio State, along with the OSU Objectivists Club, hosted Craig Biddle of the Ayn Rand Institute.

Biddle's talk was entitled "Capitalism: The Only Moral Social System." He did an excellent job of outlining the proper role of government as a protector of rights, and discussing how capitalism is the only social system that does not violate people's rights . Biddle also gave a shout out to Ludwig Von Mises and Henry Hazlitt as true free market economists and blasted the Federal Reserve for artificially setting interest rates and distorting the market.

If any chapters out there are looking for a good speaker on capitalism, freedom, and the proper role of government, we highly suggest Craig Biddle. (Pic by Harry Kitchen)

YAL at OSU Protests Reckless Gov't Spending

Members of YAL at Ohio State took to the streets to protest rising government debt and runaway inflation. For most of the afternoon, YAL blanketed campus with their giant debt poster. Despite the rain and the cold, many students stopped by to get more information on the national debt, inflation, and the Federal Reserve.

Later in the evening, YAL moved downtown to the steps of the Statehouse to let people know that we will not let our generation be destroyed by current , reckless government policy.
