What Stimulus Really Means

Apparently the government's not only interested in stimulating the economy.  Now they're interested in stimulating... other things.  This is quite possibly the most expensive and most ludicrous pun in the history of the world....

Another Stimulus Package?

No -- or at least not yet.  Congress isn't asking for another high-speed-printing run late in the day; this call instead comes from billionaire investor Warren Buffett.  Maybe Buffett can spare some of his own money if he really thinks another stimulus package is worth it?  This would certainly be a better option than continued devaluation of the dollar and manipulation of interest rates by Ben Bernanke and the other Keynesians at the Federal Reserve. In a historic first, Uncle Sam has supplanted sales, property and income taxes as the biggest source of revenue for state and local governments.

The shift shows how deeply the recession is cutting.
