Several of my liberal friends on Facebook have been posting the video above of Elizabeth Warren addressing a group of supporters in Andover, Massachusetts stating that no one gets rich on their own while evoking the mysterious "social contract." Concerning the video, one friend stated, "I haven't really been impressed by Elizabeth Warren until now."
I wish that I could share their sentiment. In the beginning of the video she makes the acute observation of the destruction the wars and medicare have done to our financial situation -- KUDOS! Unfortunately she dove into class warfare at about 50 seconds in; let me translate what her statement actually meant [listen to her real statement first -- this is not specifically what she said but essentially what it means]:
You hired people who we tried our best to subvert but a few persevered in spite of our horrid government education system.
You moved your goods to market on the roads the government should have paid with out of revenue from gas taxes but we spent it in policing the world so we decided to dilute your dollar and borrow from China and inflate the money supply instead.
