I had to speak rather fast because Professor Chomsky was only able to give me 15 minutes, but I think you'll all enjoy this interview. Sound quality is also much improved. Part 2 is here.

It's a unique person that can claim that

1) mainstream media industry and content is representative of a "free market"

2) mainstream media industry and content is greatly influenced for the negative by government.

I wanted to challenge him on that, (corporatism vs laissez faire) but in the timeframe he was able to offer, I don't think I could've done it justice without detracting from what I considered to be important questions.

His answers were long-winded. I excuse him on the long-windedness though because he always has something interesting to say.
