What will Big Government Republicans do NOW?

According to US News and World Report, citing an anonymous source, Sarah Palin has declined an invitation to speak at this year's CPAC.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out, as I'm sure conservatives will be questions her motives for declining the invitation in the coming weeks.

Palin undermining her own popularity in this manner is like a Christmas gift, just a few weeks later.

I'd much rather not have to listen to her incoherent sentences and her perverted view of conservatism.

Sarah Palin == warmonger.  She is against civil liberties, for the Patriot Act, and believes in indefinite detentions without trial in Guantanomo.

In short, Sarah Palin is a neocon.  And she's not for liberty.

I can't tell if this is good or not.  We really should be trying to do all we can to distinguish ourselves from people like Limbaugh, Palin, Newt and Coulter.

I don't know if that means we should avoid CPAC or change it.

Students for Liberty is hosting a large event the weekend before CPAC.  With our limited resources, maybe it would be better to support an organization that isn't at odds with our beliefs, and furthermore, isn't interested in playing the Potomac games.
