Western Execution of Afghan Children?

The (UK) Times reports:

American-led troops were accused yesterday of dragging innocent children from their beds and shooting them during a night raid that left ten people dead.

Afghan government investigators said that eight schoolchildren were killed, all but one of them from the same family. Locals said that some victims were handcuffed before being killed.

I very much hope this report is false -- though I don't support our presence in Afghanistan at all, I also don't want this to be true of the soldiers we have there.  It brings the injustice to a new level.

Side note:  Have any of you seen reports of this in American media?  I haven't.

From the actual Al-Qaeda training manual :

5 .Spreading rumors and writing statements that instigate people against the enemy.

Now go look up the term "useful idiot" and think about what you are doing...

This blog makes me think that the Democratic Party has invested a lot of time and effort in recruiting college kids to make Dr. Paul look like he has remarkably foolish supporters.

Thus note my statement: "I very much hope this report is false."

If it's a blatant lie, then the unwarranted defamation of character is newsworthy.  If it's true, then the unwarranted death of children is newsworthy.  Either way, it's newsworthy.

I don't want it to be true any more than you do.

Yes, this blog seems like propaganda, because no American in their right mind would lead such an atrocity. But, by not posting this at all and ignoring it altogether would show blantent disregard. Nothing ever seems Black and White.

Reports like this always cause me to ask who they are calling "schoolchildren." Similar to the propaganda against lawful gun ownership in this country, "schoolchildren" can mean 25-year olds who are taking classes at some sort of school - perhaps at a 'jihadist academy.'

It doesn't matter if it is true or not (not condoning the destruction of innocents), it would not be a useful propaganda piece for our enemies if we weren't there.

Btw... as a veteran, I can attest that there are plenty who would do such a thing in the military as well as our own civilian police.  ahem, Waco...

For those who don't think the U.S. isn't capable of killing women and children...think again.  It happened in the Philippine-American war in 1899, and it is possibly happening again.

There is absolutely no way Democrats would want a story like this coming out.   Democrats support this war now, Obama is sending more troops to Afghanistan and leaving nearly 50,000 in Iraq.

If you don't believe me, find your local college democrats club and try and get them to join your anti-war organization.  At Ole Miss,  before Obama was elected, the college dems filled our Campus Anti-War Network meetings.  After Obama was elected, they all stopped showing up.
