War With Iran Grows Ever Closer

On Meet the Press this morning, Admiral Mike Mullen said that the US does in fact have a plan in place to strike Iran militarily. However, he warned that this would be a bad idea (as if that has stopped US imperialism in the past):

Adm. Mike Mullen, the nation's highest-ranking military officer, has often warned that a military strike on Iran would have serious and unpredictable ripple effects around the Middle East. At the same time, he says the risk of Iran developing a nuclear weapon is unacceptable.

Mullen would not say which risk he thinks is worse. But he tells NBC's "Meet The Press" that a military strike remains an option if need be.

With two disastrous wars going on at the moment, one more would be a death knell to the American Empire.

I've got think that some, if not most,  in our armed services are very weary of this egg-head leaders and are beginning to doubt if they'll even be brought back from some of these missions.  There is no doubt that the federal government has disserted soldiers in foreign lands before

This is the most ludicrous idea ever presented to the American people, even more so than the other 2 illegal wars being waged right now. It is difficult to impossible to believe that the people discussing this as an option are really looking to protect America. The claim being made is that Iran wants nuclear weapons...can you blame them? All they have to do is look around them to see they may very well need them, and sooner, rather than later.

Nobody wants to see this guy receive nuclear weapons capability but, the more you push people like this towards war, it stands to reason that they will pursue that very option to protect themselves from being overrun. Wouldn't you?

American gov't needs to put the sword away until they are directly attacked. Don't believe for a minute that America cannot protect itself from this sort of attack. Protection from this sort of thing has existed since at least the 1950's.

It's common knowledge now that 911 was not a real attack (at least not real from the point of view that it was al Quaeda), and could have been prevented if the people in place to protect America were not pursuing an agenda for war. Don't believe this propaganda that Iran is going to be an imminent threat, and that we have to pre-emptively attack them. Make it clear to Obama that Americans will not stand for his rhetoric, Nobel "Peace" Prize or not.
