Nobel Peace Prize winner President Barak Obama issued an order recently to strike Yemen. The attack included several air strikes that left 120 dead. According to reports, many of the dead were civilians. The Yemeni government denied US involvement in the attacks despite many US officials admitting to a crucial role.
Supposedly, according to one Yemeni official, one Al Qaeda deputy was killed and many others were as well in various other attacks.
I love "change," don't you?

Who are these officials who admitted to US involvement in the attack? The link on the word "admitting" takes me to an article on antiwar.com (where I first heard about this strike as well), but that article also doesn't provide any information as to what US sources say our military was involved.
Also, I think it's a little misleading because the way it starts sounds like it wasn't in cooperation with the Yemeni government.
The administration admitted it to ABC News, read here its linked off of the Antiwar.com story. According the ABC story US officials after the air strike called the President of Yemen to congradulate him on his efforts to get rid of Al Qaeda, so the old questions of "who knew what and when" probably aren't going to be answered. I would at least hope that Obama would put a call in since they shot in cruise missles, but who knows anymore. All just part of the new Obama Doctrine: War = Peace, Ignorance = Freedom, Obama = Change.
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/bgm-109.htm Thought I'd put this in perspective. It's estimated that cruise missiles is like 500000 per unit.... 120 civilians??? There are only an "estimated" 150 or so Al-Queda members in Afghanistan!! And we are throwing $500000 missiles at supposed terrorists in Yemen who turn out to be civilians? Yemen a country whose civilians have problems feeding themselves... and Saudi Arabia does not exactly help either. http://www.csmonitor.com/World/terrorism-security/2009/1221/Saudi-air-strike-kills-Yemen-rebels-as-US-drawn-into-fight
