Building on Rachel's point, I'd ask you all to take a second and look at the sheer lunacy of the world around you:
The "peaceniks" at Code Pink have gone pro-war, while neocons like George Will have gone anti-war.
The "liberal" party is accusing the opposition of siding with the "terrorists," while the military-worshipping conservatives are condemning state-worship.
And the "peace laureate" pres bombed the moon to "commemorate" his historic award.
Just how much crazier can things get in the US?

In a similar paradigm reversal, American Revolutionaries used to sing about "The World turned Upside Down" during the War. I have several versions on my iTunes. I will look for a YouTube...

In 1776, this song commemorated a popular defeat of the crown much earlier. It was often sung on the march during the Revolution, along with parody lysics like "and cats will sleep with dogs, as her Magesties troops walk the streets of Boston" etc.
I believe this was the song sung/played at Lord Corwallace's surrender to General Washington...
I think you have your songs confused. The song in your link was written by Leon Rosselson and is properly titled Diggers' Song.
I've looked for a while and I cannot find a modern performance of the song you are referring to, but the song you posted, while being rather catchy, actually advocates the communistic approach to property.
