Here's a great interview from an Iraq Veterans Against the War member, Josh Stieber. Josh discusses the Wikileaks video of the Apache Helicopter killing civilians and two Reuters employees. He takes the position that you're missing the point if you just simply think these soldiers were inhumane and evil. He argues it's a much broader issue then that and as Josh puts it, "this is how these soldiers were trained to act."
The whole interview is great but if you're short on time start at 22:10...

I'm grateful for left-wingers like Amy Goodman. Whatever my disagreements, they're committed to challenging the warfare state.
I would suggest if you want to learn more about this type of stuff, watch the documentary "The Ground Truth." It goes over the, for lack of a better word, brainwashing of military cadets to become murders and the problems once they go home. Very informative.
I appreciate Amy's challenging the warfare state. However, throughout the interview, I definitely got the idea she was trying to get names of soldiers to try and attack. I strongly disapprove of that kind of yellow journalism. I agree with Josh's criticism of the system, and his refusal to try and justify the actions of the military while still refusing to give the names of the individuals he knew that were involved.
