The Political Empowerment of the Young

This country is currently seeing a youth uprising. It is what this country needs. Younger generations are faced with the challenge of creating stability in the place of the chronic instability of the past and present. Consider, for instance, this recent article from Salon entitled "The screwed generation:  Libertarian, not liberal":

We are the generation that continues to pay into Social Security with every paycheck but suspects we may never see the benefits of it. We are the recipients of degrees that don’t mean much from educational institutions that teach less and cost more. We are the casualties of wars that have gone on for over half of the lifetime of 2012′s first-time voters. In short, we are the screwed generation. The decisions of those before us has left us with an uncertain future and little opportunity to fix things through traditional means.

This wave of youth stems in large part from the ineffectiveness of generations prior. Established traditions have gone unchallenged for far too long. Prior generations have rested on their laurels as peace and prosperity in this country have been slowly slipping out of their grip. They put their trust in the government to fix things. The principles of liberty weren’t upheld as strongly as they should have been!

Young adults can be seen as having distinctive political interests, more inclined to change than older generations, more idealistic in their goals and less loyal to established traditions. I believe that education is important to breaking away from these tired and ineffective established traditions. Radical ideas aren't so radical anymore -- and this is not a bad thing!

The young are being called upon and we must stand unequivocally united, desperate for answers, and earnest for change. This is a world wide calling for peace and prosperity. What we are seeing in the world is unprecedented in terms of the frustration with government and the role it effectively plays in our lives. The quintessential question of, "What is the ideal role of government in society?" is being raised. Participation in society, in politics (which has become a dirty word, but don't let it faze you!), is now the calling of the youth abroad! The future is ours, we just need to reach out and snag it!

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

I feel this blog is very well organized and is quite interesting. I really want to join this kind of events. Thanks for the post.

Latest sociological and political trends have begun to emphasize the energy and the inspiration of the youth, as ultimate solutions of breaking through national crises and rough political moments and social challenges. In an exclusive way of sharing wisdom for the days and generations to come, Aaron DelSignore has given plenty of inspirational speeches for all the youth initiatives in this country, as a leading path for future projects and social and political achievements.
