RIP Burt Blumert

I got the very brief pleasure of meeting Mr. Blumert at a California fundraiser for the Ron Paul 2008 campaign and have always heard he was a great man. Maybe not directly, but I know indirectly I wouldn't be where I am today without his lifelong support to the message of liberty. Mr. Blumert passed away at the age of 80. His legacy will live on.

I was fortunate to meet him at the 2008 Ludwig Von Mises Supporters Summit. He's an amazing and funny man. The movement will miss him. It's people like Blumert who make it all worthwhile. It has a ton of funny anecdotes about his interactions with Murray Rothbard, Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul, etc. Well worth the read, it's hilarious. We'll miss ya Bruce
