Reid and Pelosi, Angry at the Truth

The Director of the Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, testified before the Senate today, saying that the proposed health care legislation would drive us further into debt (duh). And what did Congressional Democrats do?

Asked about the testimony by Mr. Elmendorf, a highly regarded economist, Mr. Reid snapped derisively, “Maybe what he should do is run for Congress.”

“In the legislation that has been reported, we do not see the sort of fundamental changes that would be necessary to reduce the trajectory of federal health spending by a significant amount. And on the contrary, the legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health-care costs.”

I'm not sure what Reid is trying to do here. The CBO is supposed to give honest, accurate representations of what legislation will do to the national budget and debt. Reid and Pelosi are angry that the facts don't support their conclusion. What does Reid want the CBO to do:  make up numbers?

Adam Savage from Mythbusters once said, "I reject your reality... and substitute my own." At least he was joking.

More here.

The 9/12 March On Washington should be the “kick-off” for Tea Party groups in every state to organize recall elections to recall their Senators, Representatives… and even… “The One!”

There will be no “Hope” for “Change” until the “current crowd” is removed from power.

We… The Nation… can not wait until 2010, or 2012, to eliminate a few, greater numbers must be removed before that time - or, they will destroy this Great Nation.

The impact of such “recall initiatives” will be realized long before the actual recall elections occur - the “fear of The People” will reverberate throughout Washington, far earlier, from the massive, organized, action to “throw the bumbs out.”

All of the organizations, which comprise the “Tea Party Movement” should organize and initiate such recall elections, even before the 9/12 March on Washington.

Let’s take our Nation back - NOW

What really scares me is that this denial of truth and hope to change reality is exactly charateristic of Marxist doctrine.

However, I can't say I have much respect for hte 9/12 project.  I'm not sure why we would want to feel the way we did the day after 9/11.  A surge in nationalism is far from what we need.  What is need is questioning of the structure of the state in the first place, not a changing of who is at the top pulling the strings.

That was horrible spelling and grammar.  Oh well, it's late and I'm pumped full of caffeine carmming for a midterm.
