Good for Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani for standing up to the US drone bombing program, which according to the Pakistani government killed 140 civilians for every terrorist.
No wonder the Obamabots didn't want to answer Helen Thomas's question about what motivates terrorists:

Damn Norwegian drones! Go Pakistani peace loving Muslims!!!!

Matt,
While I don't support what the CIA and US troops are doing in the Middle East, and don't support the troops generally, I have to take strong exception to your characterization of the people carrying about the wars as "thugs."
There are good people in the military and there are bad people in the military. They are acting immorally and are responsible for their actions. but to issue a blanket condemnation of so many human beings isn't the right approach.
I agree. Ergo, title change.
Hate the sin but love the sinner. I agree that the knowing slaughter of innocents is an outrage that those troops helping to carry it out are responsible for, but they are human beings and should be reached out to. Considering the nature of human self-interest, this is made difficult enough by the consistent condemnation of the war apparatus on this website.
Refusing to support the troops is an essential matter of principle, but name calling is completely unnecessary and divisive.
Point taken. But I was also referring to the politicans who are supporting the war, not the troops themselves.
Not a big deal-- it happens. I do agree that there is a big difference between a kid making the terrible mistake of joining the military and US politicians starting and lying about wars.
Though I suppose ad hominems should never be tolerated, I'm hardly above attacking the latter group.
