The first black American has it's way to the fame he deserve. In a period of time with the greatest unemployment rate since the Great Depression, instead of creating jobs they have given federal employees a pay raise – and the most generous federal pay raises were for workers making over 6 figures. Just because it's a recession doesn't mean that simple math doesn't work. Last time we checked, millions were out of work and needed money now, and the government had a record debt AND deficit, and a raise for federal workers should have been last on the list.

With all the problems we've got, Gitmo should be the least of our concerns. I can honestly tell you that I don't really give a damn about the people there.

@Reality: Even if you do not care about the people there, perhaps you will care about the precedent established for the government to suspend law and rights in the name of security? This is not a good path to start...
