The guy isn't coherent. He talks about "exploitation" and "stealing resources" in 3rd world countries - even though government - not individuals in the private sector - is the only institution that can use force (legitimately) on innocents.  So if there are rights violations, it is either done or sanctioned by government, and thus the solution is either reduce government privilege to business or for government to enforce property rights.

I love Muse. Some say its even an addiction, but I think it is a bit of a stretch to label Matt Bellamy as a libertarian. The lyrics to some of his songs can be seen as libertarian, but that's really only because he uses generic "we" and "they" that libertarians can view as the people and the government, but socialists can also see as capitalists and the proletariats. 

Still, though, Muse rocks!

First off,  I love Muse. Great band with a great sound. But I don't think they'd ever label themselves libertarians. They do showcase a great deal of libertarian ideals in their music though, and if you were to tweak even just a word or two in many of their songs they'd be libertarian anthems. You can find this in a lot of bands, actually. I could have sworn Rise Against would be a bunch of libertarian from the way their music sounded, but I looked it up and they're lefties. Unfortunately, most people in bands are, much like the majority of people, unaware of what libertarianism is. So they think themselves as leftists (perhaps this is also because being on the left has been in vogue on the music scene so long outside of country that its simply safer for bands).

The point is, I feel strongly that bands are a good starting point for libertarians if we truly wish to get the message out. They reach millions, and young, impressionable people look up to them. Many preach against the violations of humanity by those in power. Almost all are involved in illicit activites not sactioned by any mainstream group (but considered a personal right by most libertarians). Seems a perfect fit.

I think a moral, humane military is better than the alternative.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod.
