The Daily Caller reports,
Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s niece and one of Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally’s keynote speakers, said if her uncle were alive today, he’d choose to attend the Aug. 28 rally that “demonstrates the spirit of love and unity and peace.”
I'm no fan of 'Dr.' King. But it's true that his most famous and noble pronouncement, that a person be judged "not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character," is a message of individualism, not the racial redistributionism/victimology of NAACP.

frequently to keep up with the latest and greatest. i've never posted a comment, but i wanted to take a second to say that i find your irrelevant comment about being no fan of 'dr.' king to be in poor taste and bad judgment.
Yeah I agree with you. Matt supplies not being a fan b/c of plagiarism that's not really much to hate for a man that promoted nonviolence for social change.
That really does deserve its own clarification. Why even post this?
With Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. Du Bois, Zora Neale Hurston, and numerous other great black individualists who fought for racial equality over the years, there is no reason for a libertarian to lionize a womanizer, serial plagiarist. and near-Marxist like King. (I haven't mentioned the worst things about him; google around if you have the stomach)
If we dishonestly overlook his flaws, we are judging him "by the color of his skin," not by "the content of his character."
