H/t biggovernment.com:
Today, in 1989, a lone dissident temporarily stopped a line of tanks at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. We do not know his fate. And, as far as we know, few ‘human rights’ organizations or Western Media ever inquired. Still, it is an image that will linger as long [as] humans long to be free.

"as long humans long to be free." - what about short humans? Long human is long? ;-)
Some things are worth fighting for. Freedom has to be near the top of the list. I doubt you'll find many people willing to stand in front of a tank for government subsidized health insurance or to bail out Wall Street millionaires. Yet the rhetoric we hear makes it sound that way.
Great picture tells the story one man fights for human rights!
This is really the most lasting image from that whole time period in China. The lone man against a train of tanks. But imagine for a moment what would have happened if that tank squashed that man. As terrible as it might seem, that would have brought even more pressure to the plight of the Chinese people and perhaps would have nulled the flow of American dollars into the pockets of China's gov leaders. breville tea maker Think about it for a few mins and tell me if I am wrong.
Unfortunately I'm sure he was obliterated... and by the looks of it, probably became part of the pavement as each tank went forward, one by one. Although, good for him for standing his ground and defending what he believed in! That's alot more than what most people would do. -Xander Commercial Outdoor Furniture

This is quite a powerful statement this man made. I just recently watched this in a movie about death on Netflix a couple weeks ago.. these events are so sad.
