Libertarian Stand-Up Comic Doug Stanhope on Tour

Doug Stanhope, the only living libertarian stand-up comic I know of, is about to go on tour. Stanhope endorsed the Free State Project and Ron Paul for the Republican nomination in 2008, so he is the real deal. Check out his take on "freedom" (warning:  explicit language!):

The tour kicks off right after CPAC, on Thursday, Feb. 17th, in Chattanooga, TN. The tour continues with another stop in TN, then AL, GA, SC, NC, CA, the UK, VA, and PA. Tour stop information is available at DougStanhope.com (located at the lower right of the page).

If you're in one of those states, make a night of it with YAL members and friends!

Stanhope (according to Wikipedia) was influenced by Bill Hicks and George Carlin, my two favorite stand-up comics ever. They have inspired me to have my one New Years resolution: trying stand-up myself before the month is out. Tom Woods won't do it, so I guess I will!

Check out this great short video with Carlin and Hicks on politics (again, explicit language warning):

Dude Stanhope, Hicks, and Carlin are the reason I do stand-up. O and don't forget Joe Rogan!

Stanhope is known as a libertarian comedian. In 2004, he endorsed the Free State Project, and was quoted as saying, "The Free State Project stands out as one of few ideas that could produce tangible change in our lifetime. The vision of Christian gun enthusiasts buying hand-painted targets from pot-smoking artists, laughing together while they give the tax man the finger, is beautiful enough to make the move. android app developer
