In this video, I narrate my most recent article at CAIVN- Jack Hunter style. Opponents of cannabis legalization worry that it will have a detrimental effect on society. That feeling is understandable, but citing a Cato study, I take a look at Portugal where all drugs were decriminalized in 2001. Ten years later not only has Portugal avoided a nightmare of spiraling drug addiction, all signs indicate that drug use in Portugal has declined.

Great Job Wes
If you continued to do these - that'd be great! I think Hunter has a few advantages that you might consider - and I've only sort of taken notice of these over the past year because I wonder why I like his stuff so much.
He's got that radio show - so he writes like he speaks which is a little different from journalism. I think he has a poetic cadence to his voice, and seems to use active voice almost exclusively creating sort of simple definitive sentences. He also uses some stand up comedy style techniques of posing questions and answering them where a journalist might use some sort of speculation. His transition sentences, when he has to say "yet, however, never the less" usually come with a sardonic slam right afterward - rather than using it as a transition to a new area of the topic.
I'm just trying analyze his rhetorical techniques a bit because I think they work well and could easily be tweaked to resonate more with your writing style ;D
Let's hear another one soon!
Excellent advice! Very much appreciated.
"Jack Hunter style." Hehe.
