This video, linked on LRC, is a commercial for a new computer chip...a computer chip to go in people. A company called Health Link has created a tiny, implantable chip which will link to all your medical records. As the website explains:

Health Link utilizes a tiny, passive microchip (the nation’s first and only microchip cleared for use by the Food & Drug Administration) and a secure, private online database that links you to your personal health record. Your Health Link is always with you and cannot be lost or stolen. It provides emergency room doctors and nurses with your vital medical and emergency contact information, allowing them to treat you rapidly, accurately and safely during an emergency.
The commercial notes how amazing it is that so much information can fit on so small a chip. It's not hard to imagine other sorts of information fitting on there as well. It could be a new Social Security Number, embedded in your skin. A unique identifier, mandatory at birth.
Naah. The government would never use technology like this for anything we might not like. This is a free country...right?

I don't see anything wrong with this unless the government makes it mandatory and has access to the records.
I mean, if you end up in a hospital in the middle of nowhere, I would personally want the doctors to know my medical history, which this would aid in. I think it has good applications in the private sector, but the technology should not be used by governments to keep track of people, etc.

This could be one hell of a device for a facist state. I imagine Communist China and N.Korea are already order a large batch for themselfs. This should NEVER be made mandatory under any conditions. Even the elderly and those suffering from mild Alzhimers or similar conditions should have the ablity to say no to this. Intermeadate Alzerhimers and similar conditions could be much more accecptable.

At one point in time they had a presentation on their website that is no longer there. But it showed a chart that linked the implantable RFID chip directly to Google Health and Microsoft Healthvault and then linking to employers, insurers, etc.
A unit of Raytheon is manufacturing their chips. Now that's a good alliance, ain't it?
the bible says: the mark of the beast will be placed within the forehead, or hand. "the mark of the beast" and all who carry this will be sent to hell. if god wanted us to be ran by machine he would have simply placed a machine mechanism into our bodies, were not meant to be half computer, this is a great commercial and all. but it only shows one side to things. what are the defects, will you not be in control of your body anymore ? your basically being brainwashed to run how a computer chip wants you to. this might sound crazy and all, but irobot, its a good movie watch it, because if your considering this your going to be one, you might not look like a robot, nor be indestructable, but you will be ran by a chip. this chip doesnt only help you remember your medication, and your medical records, it has to be doing more. doctors make faults, and do harmful things to the world just like criminals, you hear of doctors sexually abusing patience when there "drugged". who's to say there not hiding things from you. the government only allows you to know what it is they want you to hear. what will sell. not to mention how much something like this will cost, and im pretty sure eventually if enough people dont go against this than it will be something thats mandatory for everyone, or there will be major consequences. i serve only god, not a computer!
I agree 100% if God wanted us to have a pice of a computer in us just to carry around the same stuff that we have in our billfold he would in my opion tought us in his teaching in the Bible. It is not like a pacemaker that help's keeps us alive. i think it is the Gov. wanting to know as much as they can and all they can.
Anyone who takes this chip will definitely be condemned to hell. The chip is the mark of the beast as written in the Bible. God warns us in advance not to take the chip. It will be mandatory for every man, woman and child or you will not be able to buy or sell. In other words...work, eat etc., The bible clearly states those who do not take the mark will be beheaded. However, those that are beheaded will also be martyers for God and will live eternally with our Father who is in heaven. It is important for those who do not know the Lord, to accept him as their Savior and have a personal relationship so that they will be taken up during the rapture prior to the tribulation, the one world government and the mandatory mark of the beast. God have mercy on us!
Come on people please! The mark of the beast the bible and GOD! Come on I will bet that GOD does not even exist. Think about what you people read from and what can be proven as false hell look at how many versions of the bible there really is. Religion is bull and full of false information. All open to interpatation. I believe this is a good thing to happen hell say I have an illness and they want to give me medication I am illargic too this will prevent it from even be givin to me. So this is a good thing not evil. You GOD types need to pay attention and not read too much into that bull shit. So gullable not to listen and read for the false profits. Think about this micro chip deal it is not that bad as you make it out to be. It can save lives even yours. If you wish to live in a black hole just shut up and walk away and dont force your religious back ground on people.
