This is an excellent video from Peter Schiff on how government grants and guarentees of student loans drive up college tuition at ridiculous rates.  Being against student loans is being for the student -- college kids don't get the money; they get the bills.

Student loan bills are mailing out now to recent grads.  got mine today...I no longer will be moving out of my parent's house anytime soon.  It really stifles economic up turns for the young professionals.

Yup, graduated with $30k in loans. When complaining to counselors about tuition hikes they just said "You can just get a loan!" - this thinking is hiking up rates horrendously.

Wow! YAL should make this issue a week long project! I think students would be really interested in this!

College has become the new method of indentured servitude.  The government can garnish your wages for life if you do not pay the loans, on top of what they already steal from you.  It is in their interest to make college tuition as expensive as possible.

I have taken the initiative to educate myself in my fields of interest...   No I wont have that piece of paper, but I will become the best possible asset I can be to my employer.
