Hit Pieces and Yellow Journalism

There are several things that neoconservatives are great at:  running America into the ground, starting wars, and marginalizing and villifying anyone that threatens their aristocracy. Establishment hack Michelle Malkin would make Bill Kristol proud after her vicious hit piece of Adam Kokesh. Malkin writes,

... and another prominent member who smeared the Young America’s Foundation by faking an anti-Muslim hate flyer and smeared David Horowitz with similar race-card playing flyers, then weaseled out of the attacks by claiming they were “satire.”

The last two incidents involved an IVAW member named Adam Kokesh. He marched in uniform in mock patrols for the anti-war movement, paraded around holding an upside-down American flag (see Jonn Lilyea for more), was arrested for defacing signs, and traveled to Germany to urge soldiers to abandon their posts and seek aid and comfort with his anti-war minions."

If Ms. Malkin would actually do some research, she would probably realize just how wrong she is.  The posters were satirical and poked fun at the ridiculousness of "Islamo Fascism Awareness Week" hosted by Young America's Foundation. Hardly was this a smear as Kokesh and all other students involved took full responsibility.

What would a neocon hit piece be without demonizing the peace movement? Profiling Kokesh, IVAW, and anyone who stands against war as mere "minions" says a lot about Ms. Malkin:  She has no sound, logical argument for the war so she has to result to ad hominems.  She cares very little or, perhaps, not even at all about the reasons people stand against war.  All she cares about is villifying those standing in the way of her and like-minded folk's way to their warfare-police state.

She concludes the hit and run piece with some wonderful comments,
"Kokesh, believe it or not, is now running as a Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexico. And, believe it or not, he is getting positive exposure on at least one Fox News show. He has the backing of Ron Paul, the Republican Liberty Caucus, and the 9/12 Project.

The New Mexico Republican Party has its head in the sand. If you have friends and family in New Mexico, make sure they know who the real Adam Kokesh is.

He is an anti-war smear merchant in GOP clothing.  Spread the word.

There you have it. It is antithetical for a Republican to be opposed to war. To Malkin, it is such an absurd concept that she is probably unable to comprehend it. What irks her even more is the fact that the 9/12 project and tea party movement, despite many attempts -- some successful and some unsuccesful -- by neoconservatives to hijack the movement, is in this case staying true to its small government roots.

From the looks of it, hit pieces and yellow journalism can only go so far. People eventually read between the lines.

If anyone takes that moron malkin seriously they are too far gone to be reached by the voice of reason. Don't throw good logic at bad you will always be left dissapointed. It really demonstrates that main stream republicans have set the bar VERY low for who they allow to speak for them.

I would honestly like to see Malkin in uniform fighting in combat like the brave Hero Kokesh--the witch wouldn't last a second.
