Ehh, it was okay. I didn't care for his Reagen praise, but I did like his analogy to zombies not producing anything and once everyone is consumed, there's nothing left.

You may want to listen again. The guy says that Reagan cut the growth of government. That is true. I was around at the time. However, as his second term came to an end, I began to realize that the Republican party was not conservative, and that the growth of government was impossible to stop. The speeches I remember, about eliminating wasteful programs and closing down unneeded departments, never came true. He just slowed the growth a little. No one could reverse it. You have to remember that Democrats controlled Congress. I remember guys like Tip O'Neill, Dan Rostenkowski, George Mitchell, Jim Gray controlled spending. They fought Reagan every step of the way. They vilified him. They used whatever tactics they could, with little regard to how it hurt the people. I recall, during a budget battle, them letting the government shut down for several days rather than cut any of their big spending programs. These guys were the pioneers of big government spending. They left Congress with their lobbyist jobs and golden pensions. They left the bills for the next generation.

I'm not sure where you get your facts from, but while it's true Reagan cut taxes, he definitely did not cut government spending, he grew it.
