Love your enemies.

I hope this image steps on your toes like it did mine the first thousand times I looked at it. But I also hope it makes you think, act, and pray. God end war, and send revival to Christians.

Amen.

Awesome piece of art.

I'm not really sure what the point is.  Do you really believe that Jesus meant we should let terrorists slaughter thousands of innocent people?  It's like telling a battered woman she should just stick around and "love him" and he'll change.  It's absurd.

When Christ was on the cross and the thief repented, did He take him off the cross?  No, He didn't.  Christ never condemened the thief's punishment, He forgave him and told him that he would be with Him in Heaven.  And then He allowed the thief's punishment to be carried out.

Of course Christians should love Osama.  That doesn't mean we shouldn't do everything we can to bring him to justice and ensure he never murders innocent people again.

Anonymous,

The following is only my opinion. :-)

I am not anti-war, and I don't think that all Libertarian's are. But I do believe that the "War on Terror" is unconstitutional and it is one that we have already lost and one that we are continuing to lose every day (the financial loss is enough alone to consider this a lost "war"). You can't go to war with a concept, and you can't declare war on the very means through which you were attacked (in other words, "terrorism" was the avenue through which we were attacked... we weren't attacked by "terrorism"). You have to declare war on a government, or an established group of people, not a concept or idea. There will always be some form of "terror", and that is why this war will never be won.

I believe it is the "War on Terror" that many Libertarian's take issue with, and not necessarily all war. But maybe I'm wrong. At least that is my stance.

Also, I have some thoughts on Christians who are "anti-war"...

I agree with you, if one is totally anti-war in all situations and scenario's, then one must assume that that person would stand by and watch a criminal do to his/her family as they wish. And which is the greater injustice? To physically harm someone (if that's what it takes) in order to stop their violence on others, or to sit idly by and watch them devastate the lives of others?, particularly your family? That same concept can be applied to our country.

Biblically, it can easily be argued that Christ would not retaliate if one were to act out violently against Him, but it is a mere assumption to say that He would sit idly by and watch violence be done to someone else, particularly one who is innocent. I cannot recall any act of violence that happened in Jesus' presence where He sat by and did nothing, and in fact, if He is indeed the same God of the Old Testament, then I beg to differ, and I can show numerous references of God's justice poured out on injustice.

To say that Jesus hates war is likely accurate, but to say that He won't lead a nation to it, if it must be done, is to miss out on a pretty big chunk of the Scriptures.
