I think it's funny she says, "As a conservative I'm rethinking that issue." Why can't it just be as a concerned seeker of truth. Why does she first have to be conservative and logic comes in second. This shows the true nature of politics. It's not about helping anybody, it's about those in power maintaining power by dividing people into two easily predictable and manipulated constituency bases. 

Her excuse was pathetic. She should really reconsider her viewpoints. 

The fact that the "conservative" didn't come out and say that she was absolutely against the legalization of marijuana was absolutely telling about how Jane Hamsher took control of the conversation and, not to mention, how the debate of that issue has changed dramatically in recent years. It would have been typical if the conservative woman would have just said "No, I am against legalization because it will harm the children," but she didn't... Oh, the times they are a changin'...
