As you hopefully know by now, for this April, YAL National is offering not just one, but three activism ideas -- the reYALity Check Quiz Show, Occupy the Honor Roll, and Visualize the Debt -- for your chapter to consider. Each activism project includes a $100 Activism Grant to help you purchase supplies and educational materials to distribute to students (apply here now!).
After doing your activism (preferably later that same day, or the following day, so people don't forget) your chapter should have a fun yet educational meeting with something like a speaker -- or, better yet, a film screening!

You should definitely have free food (and bottled water with custom YAL labels) to pull in more students!
And you better take lots of pictures and video and post them on the YAL blog, or as far as we and YAL's donors know, the event never happened! Below are some different options for each event of films/documentaries you can host a screening of:
reYALity check: the Price is Wrong...for Big Government
- Stupid in America, by John Stossel: $19 on DVD, or online for free
- Idiocracy: $3 online, or on DVD for $11.99
Occupy the Honor Roll
- Free or Equal: free online 16 minute version, or request the full DVD for free
- The 'Created Equal' episode of Milton Friedman's classic 'Free to Choose' series, online for free
Visualize the Debt
- I.O.U.S.A: free online 30 minute version, or the full DVD for $18
- Overdose: The Next Financial Crisis: on iTunes for $9.99 or online for free

Just a tip for people too from my time doing movie screenings on campus, get a professor (friendly or not) to host the screening. They typically make it extra credit and it can boost your turnout numbers.
I would always give them a copy of the film before I showed it, had them give a little preface before the showing, and then have them lead discussion following the films.
