In an effort to bring the war closer to home, our YAL group at Ole Miss decided to create a memorial for all the Mississippians that have lost their lives in the Iraq War. We called it the, "Mississippi Wall of Innocence."

We placed the memorial in front our Student Union for all to see. We also passed out flyers with the names and bios of several of the men and women who were on the wall.

Of course, being in Mississippi, this type of demonstration doesn't elicit strong feelings of gratitude. However, we felt that we should acknowledge the ultimate cost the men and women from our state are paying for our government's ever-increasing empire.

This makes me want to puke.

me too, its terrible how the government places such little value on the lives of the men and women serving in the armed forces.

These "Innocent" victims of the government's tyrranical foriegn policy deserve a memorial in every state
