Start a Chapter on Your Campus
Organize or join a YAL chapter on your campus.
Official YAL Chapters are comprised of at least three members and have a chapter mailing address. Each chapter must submit a chapter plan to contact@yaliberty.org. They must work towards, and eventually receive, official recognition from their school.
YAL Chapter Standards
- Three (3) dues paying members (join YAL)
- Chapter mailing address
- Chapter plan (download, fill out, and email to contact@yaliberty.org)
- Official school recognition
Steps 1 - 3 are simple but essential to build a strong foundation for your chapter. Once complete, your chapter will be provisionally recognized by Young Americans for Liberty.
We understand that official school recognition may take a semester or even a year to achieve, so your chapter has a 12 month period to complete that process and receive official recognition from YAL.
Chapter Plan
The chapter plan is a written document that outlines your YAL chapter's first semester and two year plan, its long and short term goals, and appoints officers and responsibilities. This document should help your organization formulate specific, concrete goals and provide a detailed plan to ensure success on your campus.
Please download, completely fill out, and submit your chapter plan today (email your chapter plan to contact@yaliberty.org).

YAL National Field Program
Recruit, recruit, and recruit...
Too often libertarians are criticized for only preaching to the converted. We debate the fine points of road privatization or argue anarchy but never grow our movement with the necessary outreach.
The YAL National Field Program is designed to avoid the endless internal discussion and engage America's youth. We want to recruit young people to the cause of freedom and establish chapters on campuses across the country.
We formed a massive student network during the Ron Paul 2008 campaign, and YAL seeks to pick up where the campaign left off. Our aim is to continue the R3VOLUTION and spread the message of private property, personal responsibility, and the Constitution on campus.
Please join the YAL chapter on your campus or start one with fellow pro-liberty activists.
