Ron Paul Under Attack by the "Tea Party" Movement

The "Tea Party" movement has a variety of conservatives, libertarians and independents who share a common opposition to big government. So, why on earth would Tea Partiers ever attack Ron Paul, the biggest adversary to big government Washington has seen in many years? As liberty-minded individuals, we must always be cautious of those who cling to our ideology not to advance liberty but instead to gain political power. Let history be a reminder to this testament.

I guess the headlines were right all along. Maybe Palin is the leader of the Tea Party Movement.I hate Politicians.

Rachel always gives Dr. Paul very fair coverage on her show.

I can remember when Ron Paul supporters started the tea parties during his campaign. For a moment I thought, "Yes this is it. This is going to wake up the sheeple. It is going to take a few years, but this movement is going to work. I may not fully agree with RP, but this is still good." Then the dreaded day came when Rick Santelli announced /advertised /supported a Chicago tea party. He encouraged everyone to attend and start up tea parties.  This was the beginning of the end of the real tea party movement. Neocons were quick to jump on the tea party bandwagon with the Obama administration newly in office. The tea party soon became an astroturf movement created by MSM advertising and pandering to angry McCain/Palin supporters. The movement was no longer about a bulletproof ideals of liberty, but about the same old neocon crowd angry with the democrat's candidate winning the presidency. Now the tea parties are full of hatred, racism, nationalism, war mongering and the status quo etc. They are far from peaceful movements arguing for liberty and civil rights. My point of this is, we should have seen this coming. I can not help but think that this was a planned hijacking. We must be every vigilant to continuously come up with fresh ideas for our movement. We must stay one step ahead of the MSM. We have the advantage of being a smaller more closely knit group that is easy to change and adapt. We must use this advantage so our movement is not hijacked again. On the other hand, we should not be discouraged about attending these tea parties to share our libertarian/paleoconservative/anarchist ideals with the neocons. Perhaps we can use the MSM advertising to our advantage and educate the necons...only IF they are willing to listen.

Other then bumbling as she strained to read notes someone else apparently wrote for her, in addition to reading off her hand, here are some of my notes taken from Palin's speech:

1) she _strongly_ supports sanctions against Iran (which is an act of War).

2) war on "terror": She states we do not back down and we do all we can do to win!

3) She railed against the underwear bomber but failed to mention that the reason he attempted to attack was because we killed hundreds of people in yemen just alittle over a week before Christmas.

4) She stated the U.S. Constitution does not represent foreigners in our country: Glen Greenwald (libertarian) states that is not true and that the constitution represents a foreign citizen here and that's why they should be given their miranda rights once they touch our soil. http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2010/02/01...
Would be interested in comments from this site on this?

5) She stated she wants more religion in politics. Ms. Palin, the reason the original settlers came to America was to be _free_ from all that.

6) She stated that when she was governor she refused the bailout funds that came to Alaska, but the republican congress in Alaska vetoed her decision. Ms. Palin, everything I've read states that you were not even governor of Alaska when the bailout funds came their way!

7) And after being paid $120k to rehash a Neocon party line of simplistic one-liners, the auditorium erupted with a standing ovation and a chorus of calls to: "Run Sarah Run" "Run Sarah Run" (in 2012).

Why would people who state they have been against the TARP bailouts support someone who was for the TARP bailouts?

Sarah is a good allie of the movement, You don't have to agree with everything she says.

The Tea Party supports Ron Paul and always will, heck Sarah is even backing Rand Paul.

Ron Paul has a huge following and so does Sarah, if we can merge together we can accomplish something, there is no reason for us to divide ourselves. The future of this movement looks like Rand Paul.

Palin and Beck are Neocons in sheep's clothing, nothing more than forked-tongued pied-pipers that diffuse the original energy and purpose of the Tea Parties.

Calling them down for it is probably the best solution.
