ABOUT The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, established in 1968, is a nonprofit, charitable organization providing free legal aid to employees whose human or civil rights have been violated by abuses of compulsory unionism. The Right to Work principle – the guiding concept of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation – affirms the right of every American to work for a living without being compelled to join or pay dues a union.
STUDENT RESOURCES The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation has various books, pamphlets, and other materials for students who are aware or want to know more about compulsory unionism, workers’ rights, and individual liberty. National Right to Work speakers are available for campus lectures, panels, and seminars if scheduling permits. The Foundation accepts applications for internships.
PROGRAMS Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism (CEAFU), a special project of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation was established in 1975 to take dead aim at one of the most serious threats to academic freedom in America today – compulsory unionism. Every year CEAFU holds a conference to highlight the negative impact of compulsory unionism on education and to discuss strategies to ensure that the individual rights of nonunion educators are respected. | ||
