AFF & SFL Intern Debate: Libertarianism v. Conservativism

Join the Facebook group here.

Co-sponsored as part of America's Future Foundation's Monthly Roundtables and Students For Liberty's Summer Debate Series, this event will pit the two right of center camps against each other: conservatives vs. libertarians. While they often stand side by side, this debate will cover the differences between the two positions on a range of issues ranging from, individual rights to the promotion of economic growth.

Gene Healy (Vice President of the Cato Institute) will moderate a 2 on 2 debate between DC interns from libertarian and conservative think tanks who have been hand picked by their respective sides. Come out to participate in and listen to the debate that will attempt to clarify the ultimate question: whether libertarianism or conservatism is a more desirable political philosophy?

This Debate will take place Wednesday, July 14th at the Cato Institute (1000 Massachusetts Ave NW). Drinks at 6:30 the debate will begin at 7pm. AFF Roundtables are free for members, and $5 for nonmembers. We'll also offer free admission to interns coming to cheer on the debaters.
