Tax Day Tea Party Protest
Local Tea Party Events
Find a local tea party event in your area by visiting the Tea Party Patriots site. Scroll down to your state and see what's going on in your area.
Petition to repeal ObamaCare. At local tea party events go around and have community members sign a YAL petition to repeal ObamaCare. This will spread the word about your group in the community and offer you a contact list of possible donors. Contact the signees and let them know you're the pro-constitution, small-government group on your campus and that their help would mean a lot.
Local Tax Day Activism
If there isn't a Tax Day event in your area or yet planned on campus contact either local meet-ups or sympathetic groups on campus and organize your own.
Share Ideas. If you have a good idea for an event, share it on the yaliberty.org blog or send it in to activism@yaliberty.org. The more ideas we receive the better.
Short on ideas? You may remember the "Tax Day Cookbook" from last year's Tax Dayand the 2009 End of Year Report (scroll to Tax Day Tea Party). Use both for help or look to the yaliberty.org blog and search "Tax Day Ideas". The depth of the "Tax Day Ideas" posts will be based on how many campuses contribute.
If you have any questions, need some more activism ideas, or need help organizing your event in any way please do not hesitate to contact activism@yaliberty.org.
