Are We Rebuilding the Wall? A Forum Luncheon
“Are we rebuilding the wall?” That is the question that thousands of youth will be proposing this week as the Young Americans for Liberty, a national organization for “liberty-loving” high school and college students, commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
This national week of activism to fight statism (government expansionism) in the U.S. prompted Young Americans for Liberty of Dixon High School President Devon Minnema to ponder possible ways to inspire Dixonites to join the fight for their freedoms.
“We wanted to do something that would help people see the danger in modern American statism, which is expanding our government via over zealous lawmaking, but also wanted to do that in a civil and professional way unlike hosting another TEA party; so we decided on a discussion format.”
