New York Students for Liberty Conference
Check Schedule for a list of Speakers
On Saturday, October 10, 2009 the Columbia University Libertarians will host the 2009 New York Students For Liberty / Ivy League Alliance for Liberty Conference.
Featuring speakers from the national liberty movement, including Students For Liberty, the conference will serve as a forum for learning from experts in fields ranging from economics to history, meeting libertarian leaders, discussing current issues, and sharing advice on best practices for advancing the cause of liberty on campus.
In addition, representatives from each of the Ivy League schools will unite for the second ever Ivy League Alliance For Liberty Conference. Following up on last year’s inaugural conference in which they came together to write a founding Constitution and prepare coordinated campus events, this year’s conference will feature position statements and an unveiling of the plans to advance liberty throughout the school year.
The conference will begin at 8:30 am with a light breakfast at Alfred Lerner Hall (115th St and Broadway) and culminate with an evening social. In between, we will provide lunch and dinner and host a fantastic series of speakers and panelists.
The New York/Ivy League Conference will feature:
- Great Speakers
- 3 Free Meals
- Activism Training
- Networking with leaders of the liberty movement
- A Free Evening Social Event
