These are difficult days in terms of the economy and the growing chasm between citizens and their government. Glenn Beck is a powerful spokesman for shrinking that chasm. He is a leading voice to make government transparent and accountable to the people again…and to get us off our couches and engaged in shaping the direction of our beloved country. Besides, it’s important for people with similar goals and dreams to gather together to be inspired and to give inspiration.
We will disagree with each other in some matters, but the centerpiece of our gathering is that government must be smaller, less costly, and more accountable, and that we citizens are responsible for making that happen. We cannot pass the buck to “those politicians” when “We the People” elected them in the first place.
By gathering en-mass, we can inspire ourselves anew, and we can send a loud message to our elected officials that “We the People” care. We are paying attention. We will be involved. We will hold them and ourselves accountable.
