This March will be Petition to End the War Month. Considering there is no proposed legislation to End the War, it's time to apply pressure to your representatives.
YAL will be the voice of dissent. The more petitions your chapter collects throughout the month, the louder your voice becomes to our elected officials.
For 31 days, chapters will gather as many signatures as possible using the different, engaging techniques provided in YAL's End the Wars Activism Handbook.
Stand with YAL this March.
Petition to End the War Handbook
The Handbook describes in more detail the purpose of this month's activism and how you can make a significant impact on your campus. Utilize this tool -- it supplies numerous activism ideas that will help make your month a success. It also describes how your YAL chapter can win a prize for your efforts.
Petitions
Use the check box on the right side of these petitions as a sign-up sheet. If they're interested in YAL, contact them by email, and tell them about your next chapter meeting or event. In the email, tell them a bit more about YAL. You can download and print the petitions here.
Handouts
When using these handouts make sure to advertise an upcoming chapter meeting or event. Search George W. Obama on the YAL site to get your copies of YAL's "Obama is Bush" and "What Change?" handouts. "Empires Don't Care Who's in Charge" is attached here.
Academic Handbook
The Foreign Policy Handbook is meant to be used as an academic resource for March. It will help you when you design fliers, create presentations, or plan your event(s).
Activism Grant
Chapters that plan to hold an event and are interested in receiving an activism grant, apply here. Along with an activism grant, chapters will receive the new issue of YAR to pass out at their events throughout the month.
Photos and Video
It cannot be emphasized enough how important it is for you to document your chapter's events. Please take as many photos and videos as possible, and send them to activism@yaliberty.org or contact Bonnie Kristian at bonnie.kristian@yaliberty.org. Bonnie can provide posting privileges on YAL's blog, so you can share your photos and videos directly with thousands of YAL members, supporters, and others.
Continually update us on your chapter's accomplishments this month -- how will you change your campus' political culture? Good luck and have fun!
Be the voice of dissent on your campus.
