You are right. I volunteer down at the food bank and there were all middle class laid off work families down there in a record number. I posted a report recently that said 1 in 5 households are having a hard time with money for food, and 1 in 10 households have been laid off. Food banks are a good barometer for what is really going on in the economy. I don't think the change people were looking for was the piggy bank change their kids saved.
