None of this does explains or educates people why the Manifesto's  ten planks would actually be bad things. All this event is essentially doing is throwing out superficial comparisons between longstanding US Domestic policy and what Marx laid out for his utopia. 

Would anyone really like to assert that "Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production. " is a negative thing? Especially considering precisely such reform in the US directly preceded our growth as an educational and industrial world power? 

It is little more than throwing out the word "Communism" as bogey-man we don't have time to analyze, and thus replicates the follies of the Red Scare and McCarthyism.
