The Tallahassee Tea Party was a HUGE success. Over 2,000 frustrated citizens gathered at the state capital to rally against high taxes and spending. (And over 1,000 cars honked in agreement; not sure on who counted them though) State Legislatures, Local talk show hosts and "ConservoPunk" manned the mic from 4:30 til well after the "protest permit" expired. Over 1,000 petitions were signed, including one to End the Fed. Fellow Campaign for Liberty member captured the evening on film.

After sending a message to my chapter of YAL with a joke about "throwing Molotovs" for tax day (a joke, mind you) I found that many of my members had reacted by reminding me that "big brother was watching." This was disturbing to me since they were both serious and possibly correct. Whether or not we are truly being watched by the government, however, we must remember that we truly are endowed with inalienable rights. We have allowed the perceived power of the government to scare us, but we should work against this trend by exercising the rights guaranteed us by the Constitution.

Following up on Vice President Joe Biden's contention that paying taxes is patriotic, Democratic strategist Paul Begala has declared today Patriots' Day over at CNN.com.  Begala says,
Happy Patriots' Day. April 15 is the one day a year when our country asks something of us -- or at least the vast majority of us... ...[for] the civilian majority, our government asks very little. Except for April 15.

First Pennsylvania came for its citizens' kitchens; now the federal government is after your gardens. A new bill introduced by Rep. Rose DeLauro (D-CT) has the potential to bring government inspections to the vegetable garden in your backyard. Although some reports -- and DeLauro herself -- deny that H.R.
